Show Dates 2020

Friday 5th June and Saturday the 6th June 2020

The Saturday of the 2020 show is Queensland day.
The Show Society will be giving the show a real community and Queensland feel this year and invites all community groups to participate with displays wether static or in the centre ring with active demonstrations

There will be plenty of Novelty and Trade Stores as well as Agricultural, Commercial and Industry displays & information. Space will be available for individual, community groups & company exhibitors who wish to promote their goods & services or showcase their group activities at reasonable prices

Ever wondered what happens at the showgrounds between shows. Contrary to rumors spread by those with private agendas the showground is the centre of activity for many community groups. Below is a list of some of them.

Gladstone District Gem, Rock & Mineral Club Inc has a permanent structure on the grounds. Info here

GLADSTONE KENNEL CLUB has a permanent structure on the grounds and runs many dog shows thru out the year and their facility is also used by the Callide Valley Canine Club for their major shows.

Gladstone Orchid and Foliage Society use the showgrounds for meetings and equipment storage

ZEN9 Martial Arts Dojo is a non for profit martial arts program operating once a week in our hall. Training is for age 7 & up. Contact Nathan 0422039218

Camping at the showgrounds was available for the general public for short term visitors however the Council no longer permits this. While camping is available for event specific Showground meetings such as dog & horse shows exhibitors attending the Council sponsored Harbour festival & other large community events "may" have to look elsewhere. The show society receives no direct council funding btw.

Through out the year the Show Society hosts a number of speedway events & Bike shows

Every Tuesday one of our pavilions hosts adult art classes in the mornings & childrens classes in the afternoon

Botanic to bridge fun run - Gladstone Showgrounds provides free parking via Tank Street entrance

Our hall and attached kitchen is available for hire & is used reguarly through out the year by regular groups and those celebrating special events. The grounds & centre ring are also available.
